I found a dog in Fultondale Estates this morning. Took him to the Humane Society to be scanned (no microchip). They directed me to BJC Animal Control where they are keeping “storm” animals and hopefully, they will reunited him with his owner. Looked like a golden retriever mix. If you think this is your dog, please go by BJC Animal Control (by the airport in Bham). He’s a beautiful, well-mannered dog who wants to go home.
**not sure if you saw this comment after yours. I saw your original post and I’m guessing most people would think she was a golden retriever. I hope you find her!**

We found a pug on Alt-72 on Thursday (April 28). We were headed back home from Muscle Shoals to Huntsville. I am not very familiar with the area or the roads in the Shoals, but I believe we were on Alt-72, and were headed East somewhere between Muscle Shoals and Decatur when we found it. The dog was found in the middle of the highway a few miles East of where a tornado had crossed the highway and leveled several homes, so we thought it may have come from one of those homes. We would love to reunite this dog with it’s family, but we do not want to give any more of a description so that we can be sure to get the dog returned to it’s real family. If the owners can give a good description of it, we would be thrilled to reunite them with their baby. Please help us. We can be contacted at 256-975-6646 if anyone has any information.

I posted last week about a young male boxer that came to my house near Henagar, Alabama. He was very distraught and whining. I know he was looking for his family. I promised him that I would help but I guess he just couldn’t wait. He left sometime during the day on Saturday. I got all the ticks off him and cleansed and put antibiotics on his scrapes. I hope he finds his people or someone who will take good care of him. He is fawn colored with a black muzzle, white chest and some white on his toes. He also had a green collar on…no tags. If he does show up at your home and you don’t want to foster/adopt him I would love to have him back, for a while, or for keeps. Thanks, Ann
There is a lost Male Boxer listed as missing in that area with a green collar. The Dearman Henagar area, his name is Max and his family is desperately looking for him. Listed on this site and Animals Lost and found fb page.
Pam, I don’t have a face book account and look at it at work. I can’t find a posting on this site for the people missing the boxer. We don’t have a Dearman Henagar area or even a Dearman Rd. in Henagar. Is the owners last name Dearman? If you can reply to their post just ask them to call me. 423-802-9100 Thanks!
I forgot to put my phone number about the boxer found in the Henagar area. 423-802-9100
thanks!

FOUND ADULT BLACK CAT: FEMALE, SLEEK, VERY FRIENDLY, OBVIOUSLY LOVED. HAS A CROOKED NECK, PERHAPS A NEW OR OLD INJURY. SHE IS WELL BUT I KNOW SHE WOULD LOVE TO BE HOME AS IT IS OBVIOUS SHE HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR.
What city area are you located our cat has been missing from storm we are still trying to locate her. She is long haired black, no front claws? We are in the Harvest, Hunstville area.
I’m sorry Catherine but this cat who we now call Torrie has claws and short hair. We now believe it is a “fixed” male cat. If your precious cat does not return, consider having Torrie (short for Tornado) join your family…he is the sweetest male cat ever. He tolerates being outdoors but prefers to be inside. I have 4 other cats who make it there mission for him to be uncomfortable inside but he has adjusted to their tactics. He came kitty litter trained, does not claw furniture and enjoys friendly play with people. Has features much like a large Siamese cat but is solid black. Just give this some thought and should you be interested, you can let me know later. Thanks for your email.
I am with Boykin Spaniel rescue. If you know of any found, please contact me. I will continue to check in.
Thanks
Lauren
