TUSCALOOSA: Kitten grey with black stripes on tail and white underbelly. Incredibly sweet and not scared of people. Found on 15th street near Lenny’s among tornado damage.

RAINBOW CITY, AL: Male black & white dog found. Medium size, probably 20-23 pounds. Long tail that curls up over it’s back. Black face, with white hair around his neck. shelby county: these two guys just showed up in my yard yesterday. I actually tried to turn them away, but they sat at my gate and cried! They are the sweetest guys, and Im not sure they were lost in the tornado. They didnt seem to have been outside fot that long. TUSCALOOSA, AL area: Dog found in the Tuscaloosa area. Black male, @ 8 pounds, possibly a poodle mix, has grey and brown threads in his coat and a pronounced underbite with very straight teeth. Very friendly, sweet and vocal, but very nervous after all this. We had to shave him, but his hair was long and wavy-to-curly from front to back. Definitely an indoor dog. TUSCALOOSA, AL area: Pale tan male, black on his face, @10 pounds, has Pekinese ear point markings, a Daschund body shape, and a shitzu-like coat. Calm but friendly, dog-aggressive only when frightened. Obviously an indoor dog, part of a family. He was wearing a black nylon collar with no tags. Unaltered. No chip. Extremely friendly and affectionate, playful but gentle, interacts with children as only a well-handled pup will. The species is native to the southeast but are also commonly sold as pets. Since he was found inside the debris far from any water bodies we are assuming that he is someone’s pet. FORESTDALE-ADAMSVILLE, AL area A small black and white dog came in our garage in the Forestdale/Adamsville area when the door was open on Saturday evening, May 21. No tags or collar. LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL This sweet little girl found her way to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Command post on May 2nd. She was first seen on 101 and seemed to be trying to make her way toward Mt. Hope or Russelleville. She is a lab/hound mix. One of the officers took her to the vet where she was treated for a broke toe and given a rabies shot and fostered her as long as they could.
