DECATUR, AL: This cute boy showed up at our house in Decatur, AL last week near the Hwy 67 & Hwy 31 area. He had a black nylon collar on and was starving (weighs about 25 lbs?). It took him a few minutes to come to me for some water, as he was (& still is) very skiddish of any noise or sudden movement. But he quickly trusted me & eventually came inside. At first, he would only take a little kibble out of my hand, but within hours he started to eat out of the bowl. We already have a 10 year old Golden Retriever, and they get along fine. I feel like this dog has had a family who loved him and cared for him. He is so sweet (& sticks to me like glue!). I had my vet check him out & he doesn’t have heart-worms, worms, fleas, or ticks.
