- LAKE MARTIN, AL area: Female Dorkey found in Lake Martin area after storm. 3 yrs old, no older than 4, ginger color, spayed, house dog, very loving and does not want to be left alone. She wants to go in the car if you say go and jumps up in it when you open the door. No collar. I have taken her for shots and tick & flea treatment and just to make sure she was ok. This kitty is as mad as it looks about being caught, but will hopefully calm down a little with some food, fresh water, and a nap on a nice blanket. I have this one at my house for now. - BIRMINGHAM, AL: Maine Coon cat found in the Birmingham city limits near Midfield, one block from the Bessemer Superhighway. Very healthy but very hungry; friendly. - TALLASSEE, AL: Cat found June 11 in Tallassee, AL near Cliff St. He is a male (not neutered), 6 mo. to 2 years old white/cream cat with light orange tabby markings. His back right paw has been previously injured (possibly from a car or tornado?), been healing for a while we are giving him antibiotics and cleaning it and it seems to be healing up nicely. - BIRMINGPORT, AL: Boxer puppy found in Birmingport one week ago (approximately June 18) It’s likely that the puppy is from Pleasant grove or Cordova. Call 205-475-4470 if this is your puppy. We have 7 dogs/cats and can’t keep her long. She will go to a rescue organization if no one responds.
